Well last week was a mixed bag of tricks. RPJ $yndicate was 6-3 last week and is now 18-15-1 on the season. Flash was 0-2 last week and is now 5-3 on the season. Runny was 2-5 last week and is now 13-14 on the season. We are questioning our experiment to post our own personal picks. Not sure it is bringing much value to our readers because we know our RPJ picks are on a roll after back-to-back solid weeks. If you want all of our picks let us know by posting a comment or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are here to make you money so we will try and contribute to your wallets as many ways as possible.
This week we are helping the U.S Government deal with the economic crisis and we have two words for you…..More Cowbell!!!!
If only Congress and Wall Street had more cowbell we would not be in our current predicament. We also are proposing legalized sports betting across all 50 states. Let the government set the lines and keep the vig. That has to be worth a few billion with all the degenerates in the good Ole US of A.
And yes of course we are going to show you some hot ass and ass in thongs and bring back some new pictures of Keyra Augustina (sorry Heidi Klum fans, but the Keyra fans have spoken in mass)….
RPJ $yndicate Picks of the Week
Iowa at Michigan State (-6.5) – This is another trust us game. The same exact model that helped us find the UCLA/Fresno State winner last week is rearing its winning head in this game. This is a huge Big 10 match-up. These teams need this win. The photo below alone should show you who to take!!! Gotta love strategically placed Hawkeye stickers!!!
FACTS: Iowa is 7-0 ATS in the game before IU, MSU is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 head-to-head meetings with Iowa and MSU is 1-8 ATS as home favorites of 24 or less off a straight-up win. We think MSU will win this game, but it will be close. Take Iowa +6.5.
Texas at Colorado (-13)- Texas has been lights out this year. Now they get a Big 12 rival on the road. Colorado has been good, but they got smoked last week against an overrated FSU team. They will not fair much better at home this week. Texas will look to make a statement with this game. FACTS: Texas is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 against Colorado (3-0 ATS in Colorado) and Colorado is 0-5 ATS in the game before Kansas and when they lose a game (which they will this week), they are only 5-33 ATS. When they lose, they lose big!!! Now throw in the fact that Texas, a team that leads D-1 football in sacks with 16, rolls into Boulder to face a Buffs line that just lost two more starting linemen so they are now down 4 on the season. Ugly Ugly Ugly possibilities. Texas is 4-0 ATS this season and will continue their roll. Take the Longhorns -13.
Nevada at Idaho (+24) – Idaho has been TERRIBLE all year. They have been blown out in nearly every game. They have not looked competitive. Nevada has not been great, but they can score. They should be able to put up a lot against the Vandals. FACTS: Idaho is 0-6 ATS as conference underdogs of 21 points of more. They can’t cover against big teams in their conference. They will not do it here either. Take Neveda -24.
Western Kentucky at Virginia Tech (-28) – WKU may be the worse DIV-1 team. They are terrible. Although they are 2-3, their two wins have come against non DIV-1 teams. In their games against DIV-1 teams, they have been outscored 113-23. This does not bode well for them heading into Blacksburg to face the Hokies. Blacksburg is one of the toughest places to play. They will get trounced again. FACTS: VaTech is 11-1 ATS off a straight-up underdog win. They may never stop scoring this week, and WKU may never start. Also, we are 3-0 combined on 28 point spreads. Keeping the juju working. Take VaTech -28.
Penn State at Purdue (+13.5)- Another big Big 10 game. Penn State is off their defeat at home of Illinois. Purdue was embarrassed against the Irish. No way Purdue was looking past the Irish-they are just disappointing. Penn State is not. Their D is outstanding and they have a great offense. Penn State will be looking to keep their Big 10 authority. FACTS: PSU is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 against Purdue and Purdue is 1-9 ATS as underdogs following a double digit ATS loss. Penn State rolls. Take Penn State -13.5.
Illinois @ Michigan (-2): Illinois stayed with Penn State last week, but when the pressure got on, Juice folded. Can that guy not turn the ball over?!?!? Very bad QB. He makes bad decisions and Illinois cannot come from behind with him managing the game. He gets another tough road test in Ann Arbor. Michigan is not good either, but they are playing with a lot of confidence. Their comeback last week became an instant classic. Rodriguez is proof positive that coaching in college football makes a HUGE difference. FACTS: Illinois is 0-11 ATS away after allowing 35 or more points and Michigan is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with Illinois. Take Michigan -2.
Flash Flash Picks
South Carolina at Ole Miss (-2.5) – Ole Miss is going to be in let down mode and USC really needs to get going again. Also, chalk one up to the Sports Illustrated curse, which was nice enough to feature Ole Miss on their cover this week.
I love the fact that the road team in this matchup is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 and I think USC comes ready to play. They have a great defense and now need to work that Spurrier magic to get the O going. I am taking USC to cover and might throw some dough on the moneyline if it is profitable enough.
Maryland at Virginia (+13.5) – Virginia is really a mess. They should play a tournament with Syracuse, Western Kentucky and Idaho to see who the worst team is in D-1 with the loser getting tossed down to D-III so they can play NESCAC games against the likes of Hamilton and Bates in front of 10 fans in -32 degree weather. Now I would watch that Battle Royale. Look at the ATS numbers…
Cavaliers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points.
Cavaliers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference games.
Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Where are the positive UVA items you ask? They are in Ralph Friedgen’s belly….
Maryland wins this game big!!!!
Ohio State (-1) at Wisconsin – The Buckeyes own the Big 10. Own it own it own it. Got that…Let me say it again….BUCKEYES OWN THE BIG TEN. Beanie Wells is back, Pryor is at QB and Ohio State is still motivated because they know they can run the Big Ten table (remember they own it) and still lay claim to being the best team in the land because their one loss will be when they were minus Beanie, on the road against the then #1 team in the country and still getting Pryor involved with the offense. Throw in the fact that Ohio State can stop the run on defense and turns the ball over a lot less than Wisconsin and you can see where this is going. The ATS numbers:
Buckeyes are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games in October.
Buckeyes are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Buckeyes are 22-8 ATS in their last 30 conference games.
Buckeyes are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 road games.
Buckeyes are 17-8 ATS in their last 25 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
Buckeyes are 0-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Buckeyes are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
Buckeyes are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. (scary stat but one that will reverse)
Badgers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.
Badgers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Badgers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 conference games. (Remember the Big 10 is bad)
This game is basically a pick the winner game. Wisconsin played the typical look ahead game last week and blew a 19 point lead in The Big House. That is terrible. This team also should have lost at Fresno State, thanks to the Fresno kicker. Defense and turnovers win ball games and that favors Ohio State. Ohio State wins and covers!
Indiana @ Minnesota (-7): IU has been extremely disappointing this year. We thought they would play better for Hep, but they have been terrible. Off the field issues have plagued them and maybe it has effected their play. Who knows? What I do know is they suck. Minnesota has been surprisingly decent. I gave them no credit coming into the season, but they have shown me wrong. Huge cover for them last week. I think they continue that momentum this week at home. FACTS: Minn is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 against IU and 9-1 ATS against teams that are .400 or worse. IU has a great ATS road record in the Big 10 (10-1 in their last 11), but I don’t think it matters this week. This is their first game outside of Bloomington. Take Minnesota -7.
Texas Tech @ Kansas State (+7); OVER 66: Two picks for the price of one here. This line is pretty low considering how much Tech can score. Crabtree may be the best player in NCAA. Tech has dominated this series ATS in recent years (4-0 ATS in their last 4). However, they go on the road this week to a rival that is good at home. To me, that is why the line is so low. That and because KState can score, too. I think Tech wins, but it will be a close shootout. I’m taking KState +7 and the OVER 66.
Kansas @ Iowa State (+11.5): My first Mangino bet of the year!! I’m lovin’ it!! The Cyclones usually put up a good fight at home. However, hurricane Magino is coming to town this week!!!! FACTS: Kansas is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 conference games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against Iowa State, 4-0 ATS in their 4 as road favorites and 7-1 ATS with rest. They cover. Take Kansas -11.5.
Ball State @ Toledo (+7.5), OVER 64: Another two-for-one special. Ball State is riding high, despite their HUGE loss of Love. Tragic injury and we hope for the best. They get a tough MAC road game this week. Toldeo can score. Both D’s are bad. I think this game will be high scoring and they should hit the over easily. In regards to the line, I think this is Ball State’s year. I’m riding them until they prove me wrong. FACTS: Ball State is 3-0 ATS in their last 3 meetings with Toledo and they are 6-1 ATS in the 1st of back-to-back road games. I’m taking Ball State -7.5 and the OVER 64.
We could not agree on the Auburn at Vanderbilt game so we will just show you a sweet pic…
Good luck, may your wallets be full and your whores STD free.
Flash Flash and Runny
Greetings folks. A decent, but not good, Week Three brought us back a little closer to respectability. However, we know we have a ton of work to do to right the ship. Our NFL season records are as follows: RPJ $yndicate is 3-7, Flash is 2-1 and Runny is 5-7. Still pretty bad, but we ain’t stopping!!!!
Well in keeping with tradition, when we blow we show more picks of hot chicks:
Here is what we like this week:
RPJ $yndicate Picks
Cardinals @ Jets (-1): The Cards looked awful last week against a Skins team that we think is pretty overrated. The Jets were just as bad against a hungry Chargers team on Monday night. What will give? The key to his game is the Cards and their road woes. They are terrible on the road. They have studs on offense and a decent D. There is no reason they should be Dogs in this game (or their last). Also, look at these facts: Jets are 11-1 ATS as home favorites vs. opponents that are .600 or better and 12-2 ATS off of Monday Night games. Nuff said. Take the Jets -1.
Falcons @ Panthers (-6.5): Don’t be fooled by the Falcons. Although they are 2-1, their two wins were against terrible teams (Lions and Chiefs). Their sole loss was a beatdown against the Bucs. The Panthers are more like the Bucs than the Lions and Chiefs. They will win, and when they win at home they are 44-8 ATS. Also, never take rookie QBs on the road. Take the Panthers -6.5.
Chargers @ Raiders (+7.5): This pick pains me because I like Lane Kiffin and I think the Raiders are better than they get credit for being. I just don’t think they have enough this week, despite the fact that the Chargers are traveling off of Monday Night (if you are a reader of our blog, you’ll understand the reference and stat). Facts: Raiders are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 at home against the Chargers. This is a lot of points, but Rivers is the best QB in the league right now. Take the Chargers -7.5.
49ers @ Saints (-4): The Niners are off of a dominating win last week at home. They are young and their D seems to be on the right track. However, I am not sold on J.T. O’Sullivan. Plus, they re going on the road against a Saints team that can do some damage on offense. Facts: Niners are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 against the Saints and under Nolan, the Niners are 2-13 SU and 4-11 ATS away against non-division teams. I love the Saints in this. Take the Saints -4.
Bills @ Rams (+8): The Rams are lost and Linehan has lost this team. Players are openly stating that they don’t want to play for him and Trent Green is getting the start this week. Terrible. The Bills are loaded and are playing well. Facts: Rams are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 against the Bills and 0-12 SU and 2-10 ATS against inning teams under Linehan. This will be bloody. Take the Bills -8.
Flash Flash Picks
I should be 3-0 and I am not bitter about it or anything. I love the backdoor but I hate backdoor covers.
Only one pick for me this week and that is Redskins (+11) at Dallas. This is too many points and I live the ATS numbers.
Redskins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
Redskins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.
Redskins are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Redskins are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. NFC.
Redskins are 21-8-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Cowboys are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Cowboys are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC.
Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC East.
Redskins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
Underdog is 17-4 ATS in their last 21 meetings.
I do not think the Skins will win but I think they are playing better and can keep this within ten points. Take the Skins with the points!
As always, good luck with your picks.
Runny & Flash
We are ready to put last week behind us. Last week, The Syndicate was 2-6 (6-7 on the season), down 1 unit, Flash was 1-0 (3-0 on the season) and Runny was 3-1 (4-3 on the season). The 2-6 really was painful and we know we blew a lot of your beer and nudie bar money. To make up for it we are going to post some hot ass to start this blog. Literally hot ass!!!!
and the legendary Keyra Augustina in video (one of the greatest of all time)
Since we are heading out to Vegas and LA to party and go to the Ohio State/USC game we are putting these out a little bit early this week. All of these bets are 1 unit bets.
Friday, September 12
Kansas at South Florida (-3) – It feels good to lay down a Mangino bet. This is our favorite coach in all of college football. How can you root against a guy larger than Refrigerator Perry?
Mangino is large and in charge just like the Jayhawks who have picked up right where they left off last year. Last week, South Florida had the classic look ahead game and almost lost to Central Florida. We love the Big 12 this year and hate the Big East. The ATS numbers:
Jayhawks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games.
Jayhawks are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
Jayhawks are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Jayhawks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Jayhawks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
Jayhawks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.
Jayhawks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Jayhawks are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Jayhawks are 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games following a S.U. win.
Jayhawks are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games in September.
Jayhawks are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games overall.
Jayhawks are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS win.
Jayhawks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
Bulls are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Bulls are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September.
Bulls are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss.
Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Bulls are 0-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
We love that Kansas is getting points. Not sure who is making this line but Reesing is playing really well right now completing almost 77% of his passes and a 6-1 TD to INT ratio. Kansas wins this game outright and Mangino gets his first RPJ Syndicate love of the season.
Saturday, September 13
Cal at Maryland (+14.5) – We are scared to death betting this game. Jeff Tedford always finds a way to screw us over. He basically looks at what The Syndicate says to do and then effs it up for us and our fans.
You can open a bank with how much this clown has cost us the last few years. Cal has been rolling. They beat Michigan State and then destroyed Washington State. Maryland on the other hand barely beat Delaware and then actually lost at Middle Tennessee State. We are surprised this line is not 24 points or more and it basically comes down to the Tedford factor. We know he will choke at some point, usually it is against USC but sometimes it jumps up and bites us sooner. Last year he lost to Washington and Stanford. The ATS numbers:
Golden Bears are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Golden Bears are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
Golden Bears are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games in September.
Golden Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.
Golden Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
Golden Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Golden Bears are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Golden Bears are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games on grass.
Golden Bears are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.
Golden Bears are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Terrapins are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Terrapins are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Terrapins are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Terrapins are 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Terrapins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.
Terrapins are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games in September.
Man those Cal numbers are scary. We know Tedford will blow a game, we know he does not travel well and we know the Pac-10 does not travel well heading coast to coast but we know that the Terps suck it far worse than any of Cal’s issues. Cal wins this one easily!
Nevada at Missouri (-26.5) – When a team is hot you get on and ride it until they burn you. Missouri has been on an ATS roll since last season. Chase Daniel might be the best QB in the entire country (man we jumped fast off the Pat White flaming train to hell). Chase can flat out rip it. Missouri has a kill mentality too. Chase is often quoted in saying that he expects to score every time he touches the ball and that is in fact his goal. Throw in the fact that Nevada lost its leading rusher last week against Texas Tech and we think the Wolf Pack will be pretty demoralized and have a tough time keeping up with Missouri. The ATS numbers:
Wolf Pack are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home.
Wolf Pack are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games following a ATS loss.
Wolf Pack are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. loss.
Wolf Pack are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
Wolf Pack are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Wolf Pack are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Wolf Pack are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Wolf Pack are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games.
Tigers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in September.
Tigers are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games.
Tigers are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall.
Tigers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Tigers are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games.
Tigers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. win.
Tigers are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games on grass.
Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Missouri is a team on a mission this year. They want to go undefeated and they want Chase to win the Heisman trophy. We think all of this is possible because they are explosive as hell on offense. This game might start close but Missouri will keep putting the accelerator to the floor and when it is all said and done they will have a win and a cover! If Nevada gets behind and is forced to abandon the run then it will be over quick.
Georgia at South Carolina (+7.5) – This has trap written all over it. Only 7 points, Georgia looks great and USC just lost to Vanderbilt in ugly fashion. What gives? This is game 1 of Georgia’s brutal stretch of USC/Arizona State/Alabama. Last year South Carolina went into Athens and beat the Bulldogs 16-12. Do not think for a minute that Moreno and Stafford forgot about this game and that means it is revenge time. The other point of concern is that Mark Richt has already come out and said he hates playing against Steve Spurrier teams. Way to psyche up your team coach. The ATS numbers:
Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games on grass.
Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Bulldogs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
Bulldogs are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Bulldogs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference games.
Bulldogs are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Gamecocks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Gamecocks are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Gamecocks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
Gamecocks are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Gamecocks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
Gamecocks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Gamecocks are 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Gamecocks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.
Gamecocks are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 conference games.
Road team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
If those ATS numbers did not sway you then we do not know what will. Take the Bulldogs to win this game easily. South Carolina is not as good, this is a revenge game, and the superior team is only giving 7.5 points. Jump on Georgia and ride them to the bank!
Penn State at Syracuse (+27) – Well one thing has become obvious in the first two games of this season, Penn State found their offense. Daryll Clark looks good running the show and Penn State has put up 45 and 66 points. Syracuse on the other hand is terrible and got blown out by Akron at home last week. Syracuse is not that far from State College and Cuse football tickets are easy to come by (Side Note: Our buddy, Big Sherm, has Cuse season tickets and he doesn’t even like going). This will be a home game away from home for Penn State. The ATS numbers:
Nittany Lions are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games.
Nittany Lions are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
Nittany Lions are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
Nittany Lions are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Nittany Lions are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win.
Nittany Lions are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Nittany Lions are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 vs. Big East.
Orange are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a double-digit loss at home.
Orange are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in September.
Orange are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss.
Orange are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss.
Orange are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games on turf.
Orange are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.
Orange are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 home games.
Orange are 0-4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Orange are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Both of these teams do not look good against the spread but Syracuse looks worse and is simply one of the worst teams in D-1 football. Penn State continues with their offensive explosion and wins and cover easily up to 30 points.
Auburn at Mississippi State (+10.5) – Another SEC revenge matchup. Mississippi State went to Auburn last year and beat them 19-14. Tuberville, in our opinion, is one of the best SEC road coaches in the conference, if not the best. In 2006 and 2007, Auburn shut out Miss State and had covered five years in a row before last year. Mississippi State was dumb enough to open on the road and lost to La-Laf. Check out the ATS numbers:
Tigers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
Tigers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win.
Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference games.
Tigers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games on grass.
Tigers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in September.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in September.
Bulldogs are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win.
Bulldogs are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Bulldogs are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games on grass.
Bulldogs are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 home games.
Only clash we see is that Miss State covers more in September. We know Auburn is not where they want to be on offense but Tuberville is a great coach and this team will improve over the course of the season. This is something we can not say about Miss State. Auburn gets their revenge with a win and easy cover!
Michigan at Notre Dame (+1.5) – It is great to get Notre Dame back on the Syndicate’s docket. It was awesome last week when the San Diego State coach was unable to determine whether or not Notre Dame was better than Cal Poly. What a freakin joke. Notre Dame showed absolutely nothing last week and was lucky to get a win against San Diego State. We love watching Notre Dame play to try and find all of those 5 star recruits they supposedly have. Notre Dame makes the excuse that all of these 5 star guys are freshmen and sophs so they are not on the field. Well USC plays freshmen, Alabama plays freshmen, Florida plays freshmen. These programs have the real 5 star recruits, not magazine inflated recruits so Notre Dame retard fans buy the magazines. What a lovely year it will be in South Bend once again. The ATS numbers:
Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
Wolverines are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 road games.
Wolverines are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Wolverines are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Wolverines are 10-4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Wolverines are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games in September.
Wolverines are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.
Wolverines are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Fighting Irish are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
Fighting Irish are 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games on grass.
Fighting Irish are 8-18 ATS in their last 26 non-conference games.
Fighting Irish are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss.
Fighting Irish are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Fighting Irish are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Ten.
Fighting Irish are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
Rich Rodriguez is a better coach than Charlie Weis. Charlie is an arrogant prick that lets his ego get in the way of his team’s progress. Weis also gave Michigan fans and the team bulletin board material a few months back when he called out Michigan. This is Rich’s first year at Michigan and he will have some growing pains because he needs to recruit speed and skill players that can get the job done in his offense. We think this game will be ugly and low scoring but in the end the team that has the better defense will win out and that is Michigan. Michigan wins and covers the -1.5!
Flash Flash Picks (3-0 on the season)
I have one game for you this week….Keep riding that East Carolina horse until it loses. East Carolina wins and covers against Tulane (+12.5).
Runny Pelvis Picks (4-3 on the season)
UNC @ Rutgers (-5): This game will be a good one. I like UNC a lot this year and think they have a great chance of pulling some huge upsets. Butch Davis has really turned that program around and has pulled in some outstanding recruits. I think Rutgers lost a lot last season with Rice going pro. They have not looked good this year. However, I think they have what it takes to cover in this one. Rutgers is 9-1 ATS against non-conference opponents. They are at home, they have had more than a week to prepare and will be a primetime game. They have a much better QB, and although I think UNC’s D is better, Rutgers has enough to stop UNC. I think they win by at least 6, but it will be a great game. Take Rutgers -5.
Utah -24 @ Utah State: Bitter in-state rivalry and this is a ton of points. I think Utah will cover though. They are a legit BCS contender and could win their conference. Also, they are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 at Utah State. I’m taking Utah -24.
Wisconsin @ Fresno State (+1.5): I like Fresno getting points in this game. I think they should be the favorite. They went into Rutgers and beat them easily in Week One. They are rested and have had two weeks to prepare. Wisconsin, although 2-0, did not look that good against Marshall last week (despite the score-they piled it on late and Marshall sucks). I don’t think Wisconsin will travel well. I’m taking the points and Fresno to cover.
Oregon -8 @ Purdue: This is a ton of points to give a Purdue team that has a solid offense with a good QB at the helm. However, their win last week at home against N. Colorado just was not impressive to me. Oregon has looked really balanced and explosive. They have traveled well, especially against the Big 10 (7-2 ATS in their last 9 against the Big 10). I’m taking Oregon -8.
NC State +18.5 @ Clemson: Clemson will be looking to beat-up on a conference foe. However, I don’t think they are as good as everyone thinks. Plus, I think Bowden is one of the most overrated coaches in football. This is a lot of points to give. NC State will surprise them this week. The road team is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 head-to-head meetings. Clemson is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 at home against NC State. Clemson will win, but I’m taking NC State to cover +18.5.

Greetings folks. Disappointing start with Thursday’s game. We learned a lot from that game though and we will exploit it later in the season. Runny is 0-1 on the NFL so far, but we like a lot of games on the first Sunday. Again, we will have RPJ picks and our individual takes. Here it goes:
RPJ PICKS (0-0 on the Season)
Cowboys -5.5 @ Browns: The Cowboys covered every weekend in September last year. They are stacked again this year on both sides of the ball. However, the Browns are, too. They made huge improvements on their D in the offseason, and although they looked terrible in the pre-season, they should be a legit contender this season. This is a lot of points to give a team like the Browns at home, which is begging you to take them. Herein lies the Vegas trap. This line has gone up all week. Don’t fall for it. Take the Boys-5.5.
Texans @ Steelers -7: The Steelers are stacked this year and the Texans are banged-up. They are just not as good as the Steelers right now. We like Matt Schaub and Mario Williams. Just not enough. We love the Steelers at home to open their season. Take the Steelers -7.
Bears @ Colts-9.5: We’ve watched the Bears pretty closely this pre-season, more so than most other teams. Take our word for it, they are a MESS on the offensive side of the ball. With the exception of Hester, they have absolutely no playmakers on offense. That does not bode well for them going into Indy. They need to score points to beat them, and the Bears just don’t have the personnel. Plus, the Bears D is severely overrated-maybe the most overrated unit is the NFL. Indy wins this game by at least 17. We don’t care about Manning’s knee. Take the Colts -9.5.
Jets @ Fins+3: Finally the Fins have some stability in the front office and at QB. This will be a great game. So many side stories: Favre’s debut in a uniform other than Green Bays; Pennington gets a revenge chance against the team that gave him a Cleveland Steamer; the Tuna’s 2008 debut. All great stuff. We like the Fins in this one because of the points, and we believe they are the better team. They will surprise everyone with how well they will run the ball this year. We think Ted Ginn finally starts showing why he was a first round pick. For the Jets, we think their D is good, but Favre is way overrated. This will be a close game. We like the points. Take the Fins at home +3.
Jags -3 @ Titans: This is our favorite game of the week. Load-up on this one if you can. We think the Jags will make it to the AFC Championship game this year. They are loaded on both sides of the field. The Titans are terrible. Vince Young has mentally checked-out and he has no playmakers to help him. Jags may shut them out. It will be ugly. We don’t care that the Titans usually play the Jags tough and cover. Take the Jags -3.
RUNNY PICKS (0-1 on the Season)
Lions -3 @ Falcons: The Falcons made some good moves in the offseason drafting Ryan and signing Michael Turner. They are going in the right direction, but it will take another year to get out of Vick’s debacle shadow. The Lions are just much better than they are this year right now. I think this line is low because Vegas is judging the Lions on the end of the year meltdown last year. The Lions have playmakers and will score some points. I don’t think Ryan is ready to keep up. Take the Lions -3.
Chiefs @ Pats -15.5: This is a ton of points and the Pats have been extremely cold when it comes to covering. However, the Chiefs are terrible and will not score points. Their D is good, but they will play mostly nickle against the Pats due to the passing attempts. When they do, 3 of their DB’s will be rookies. Brady will crush this. They may not run the ball more than 10 times in this game. Pats win in a blowout. Take the Pats-15.5.
Flash Flash Picks (0-0)
Nothing today but one game for sure on tap Monday night.
Check back with us for Monday Night’s games. We have picks for both games.
As always, good luck with your picks.
Runny and Flash
Some record keeping from last week:
RPJ Syndicate is 4-1
Flash Flash for the Cash is 2-0
Runny Pelvis the Fat is 1-1
Heidi Klum is hot as hell!!!
Yup hot chicks won out!!! Thanks for your input.
How this blog works is as follows. Flash Flash and Runny merge two successful betting systems to optimize their picks. RPJ Syndicate is our combined effort. Our solo picks are picks that failed one of our betting systems but each individual handicapper still loves and wants to put out there for our readers. The single most important fact is this…..we put our money where our mouth is!!! We share the gain, like last week, and share the pain, which is inevitable to bite us in the ass once in a blue moon and hopefully never but ee are realists and know that shiznit happens so we are not going to sit here and say we are always perfect or winners like our rivals. They are full of Lexington Steele’s cahk, in their anus, and are just trying to make a quick buck at your expense. Over the course of the season we will win more than we lose and the proof is in our results plain and simple. We know some of you are winning with us because you share your gains with us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to the tune of thousands of dollars. You know who you are and please keep up the dialogue and share your thoughts with us.
This is always a little scary when we love this many games but we have to put our money to work when things are this good. We come at you with 8 games this weekend. On with the picks…..
RPJ PICKS (4-1 on the season)
These are all 1 unit bets for us. We think it is still too early to jack up some of these games.
Eastern Michigan at Michigan State (-21) – Michigan State is coming off an emotional loss at Cal. Sorry Spartan fans but they had no chance. Teams do not travel well when they head West. Sounds like a dumb reason to lose but it is the fact. Just ask Vols fans this week. Coach Dantonio is a good coach and has the Spartans moving down the right path. Javon Ringer is one of the best players in the Big Ten and one of the most overlooked players in football. He will break out this game.
Some ATS numbers:
Eastern Michigan Eagles
Eagles are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win.
Eagles are 6-21 ATS in their last 27 non-conference games.
Eagles are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. Big Ten.
Eagles are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in September.
Michigan State Spartans
Looks to us like the Eagles do not play well after wins, out of conference, in September and versus the Big Ten. We smell an old fashioned arse whooping. Take Michigan State to the bank with an easy cover!
Central Michigan @ Georgia (-24) – This is the most painful bet we will ever lay. Yes we are going to bet against The Fever.
Dan LeFevour is simply the man. We admit that we have man-crushes. If Tebow was not playing right now all anybody would be talking about is The Fever. Fever is the second player in history to pass for more than 3,000 yards and rush for more than 1,000 yards. Vince Young was the first. Also, keep in mind that with all the well deserved accolades laid down on Tebow last year, The Fever was one rushing TD away from reaching the 20-20 club that won Tebow the Heisman (The Fever had 27 passing TD’s to Tebow’s 32).
The ATS numbers for both schools are good:
Chippewas are 4-1-2 ATS in their last 7 road games.
Chippewas are 7-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Chippewas are 24-7-3 ATS in their last 34 games overall.
Chippewas are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games on grass.
Chippewas are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games in September.
Chippewas are 14-5-2 ATS in their last 21 games following a S.U. win.
Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win.
Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.
Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
It is a sad day but as Clemson proved last year, and that was Clemson, The Chips can not compete with elite competition. Bulldogs win big and cover!!!! Sorry Dan but we will jump back on your bandwagon later in the season.
BYU (-9) at Washington – BYU had the turnover jitters last week and still won 41-17. Washington pulled a Willingham and competed for one half before getting decimated in the second half. BYU always plays tough and has some experience winning against the Pac-10. Willingham is a clown and can not get talent to Washington and guards his players and practices with a steel curtain. He needs to look South to see that Pete Carroll holds open practices. Does this look like the face of a winner? Body language says it all.
The ATS numbers:
Cougars are 7-2 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
Cougars are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
Cougars are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Cougars are 20-9-1 ATS in their last 30 games overall.
Cougars are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 road games.
Huskies are 11-27-2 ATS in their last 40 home games.
Huskies are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Huskies are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games on turf.
Washington has zero chance of winning this game. BYU is for real and will play in a decent bowl. 10 points should be enough. Take BYU to cover against the suckfest that is Ty Willingham. If you were not aware, Washington coach Ty Willingham is 6-21 in the Pac-10 and 1-9 against the other Northwest teams. So to reiterate….Take BYU to win and cover!!!
Ole Miss at Wake Forest (-7.5) – We are following one of our rules, Ole Miss will not travel well out of conference. Wake Forest is coming off an impressive easy win at Baylor and is coming home, after their first win ever in Texas and to a new stadium. They are going to fight like hell for that first home win and it will come at Ole Miss’ expense. Houston Nutt versus Jim Grobe is no contest. Wake beat these guys in 2006 in Mississippi and should not be worried at home. Houston Nutt is not the savior Ole Miss fans think he is and he does not have Run DMC or Felix Jones to save his ass every week like they did last year when he coached at Arkansas. Wake plays solid D, efficient O and has the coaching advantage while playing at home. Throw in the fact that Ole Miss has lost 4 straight road openers and 13 of 14 and you know what we are cooking here. The ATS numbers:
Rebels are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games in September.
Rebels are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.
Demon Deacons are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win.
Demon Deacons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.
Demon Deacons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Demon Deacons are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Demon Deacons are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
Demon Deacons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win.
Demon Deacons are 13-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
The Demon Deacons go to 2-0 and although we would love to see this line under 7 we think a 10 point Wake win is not out of the question. Take Wake to win and cover!!!
West Virginia at East Carolina (+7.5) – This smells like a little bit of let down city to us. E. Carolina is coming off an emotional upset of Va. Tech and now has to come right back to face Pat White and West Virginia. Yes the same Pat White and West Virginia that beat their ass 48-7 last year. Check out the highlights if you want to predict this weekend.
West Virginia has beaten East Carolina seven straight times since 2000, outscoring them 278-103. Take a look at the ATS numbers:
Mountaineers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games on grass.
Mountaineers are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 road games.
Pirates are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Pirates are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games on grass.
Pirates are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Pirates are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games in September.
Pirates are 21-8 ATS in their last 29 games overall.
Pirates are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games.
Pirates are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games following a S.U. win.
Pirates are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Big East.
That last one really sticks out to us. If the Pirates do not line up well against the Big East then they are going to have problems with White and Devine. Throw in the fact that the Mountaineers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings and we are loving West Virginia. Pat White, our dark horse Heisman candidate, is going to roll in this game. Take West Virginia to win and cover.
Minnesota at Bowling Green (-5.5) – We love this game. Bowling Green coming home after an awesome win at Pitt to face one of the bottom dwellers of the Big 10. We do not think the MAC is so far off talent wise compared to the Big Ten and this game will prove it. Minnesota barely beat MAC bottom dweller Northern Illinois at home and did not cover last week.
The ATS trends:
Golden Gophers are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
Golden Gophers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.
Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Falcons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Bowling Green is going to be jacked up at home and will defend their home field. Take Bowling Green for an easy win and cover!!!
Miami at Florida (-22.5) – This is going to be a fun game. 8PM, prime time, Tebow’s first game versus “The U” and the Gators trying to end a 23 year winless streak. It is hard to believe all of that is true but the facts are the facts. Florida is still tough to read because Coach Meyer wants us all to believe he is going to protect Tebow from the pounding he faced last year but in reality the only way they are going to win games is if Tebow is Tebow. And that Tebow loves to hold and cuddle big men. See for yourself.
The Gators will live and die with Tebow. The U is working towards regaining some of its lost luster and potentially has the speed on defense to keep this game in check. Also, they have Robert Marve, from the state of Florida and the QB who broke a lot of Tebow’s records. This is a brutal place to start your first game but Marve has the talent. The Florida schools have a certain rivalry and bragging rights and The U lives by this creed. 22.5 points is a lot to cover in a state game of this magnitude. The ATS numbers:
Hurricanes are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games.
Hurricanes are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games.
Hurricanes are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Hurricanes are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 games overall.
Hurricanes are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games in September.
Hurricanes are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
Hurricanes are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win.
Gators are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games on grass.
Gators are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.
Gators are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Gators are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Gators are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
We think this is a tough one to peg but think The U is a team on the rise and 22.5 points is too many to give. We do not think The U has a chance of winning but if the final score is 45-24, which is a blowout, guess what, The U covered for you. Take Miami to cover!!!
UL Monroe at Arkansas (-13) – Arkansas did not look good last week versus Western Illinois and actually had to rally from a 24-14 4th quarter deficit to get on track and win 28-24. UL Monroe got shutout by Auburn and showed absolutely nothing. Bobby Petrino will likely face some growing pains this season but they are not going to come against UL-Monroe. Petrino is one of the best play callers in football. The UL-Monroe Warhawks will be overmatched in this game and they have already shown that they vanish on the road in SEC stadiums. The ATS numbers:
Warhawks are 14-31 ATS in their last 45 non-conference games.
Warhawks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in September.
Razorbacks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Razorbacks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Razorbacks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games.
Razorbacks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in September.
Also, and most importantly, Arkansas’ cheerleaders have great porno first names. Check this out:
Jenna and Kacey with a “K” and a “C”. I see the tag team action right now. And with a QB named Casey Dick. I can see the porno headline right now…..”Jenna and Kacey love Casey’s Dick” We could go on for hours with this. “Casey’s Dick deep inside Jenna and Kacey” Alright you get the point. Those ATS numbers for Arkansas were all under Houston “likes to suck” Nutt so we are not concerned. Arkansas will roll easily in this game so take them to cover!!!
Flash Flash picks (2-0 on the season)
Only one pick from me this week……Texas will thrash UTEP. UTEP gets thrashed by Buffalo, not the Buffalo Bills, but U of B. What a joke. Texas squashes UTEP big. You heard it here first.
Runny Pelvis Picks (1-1 after Week 1, 1-2 on the Season, damn Gamecocks, they probably got ahold of Casey’s Dick too!)
Navy @ Ball State (-6.5): I love the MAC and I love the Testicular Ones to win it this year. They are stacked at QB, they have outstanding wideouts and Dave Letterman is an alumn. I like Navy, too, just not in this game. Losing Coach Johnson will be a big deal. I’m taking Ball State at home -6.5.
Akron @ CUSE (-4.5): Normally CUSE giving any amount of points to any team is begging you to go against them. They are bad and their coach will be gone by the end of the year. Couple that with the fact that Akron is not a bad team and could win the MAC this year and it is a recipe to take Akron and run. I don’t buy it. CUSE is 10-1-1 in their last 12 against the MAC. I love them in The Dome. Take CUSE -4.5.
Stanford @ ASU (-14): Stanford surprised us with their win last week against Oregon State. Very surprising. Jim Harbaugh has a good idea of where he is taking this program and he is a good coach. However, ASU is just too stacked. Rudy Carpenter is legit and plays with a lot of heart. ASU just has too much ammo for the Cardinals. Also, the home team is 6-2 ATS in their last 8. Take ASU -14.
S.Miss +17.5 @ Auburn: Call me crazy, because on paper Auburn should destroy S.Miss. But, that’s why they play the games!!! S. Miss is up-and-coming and their new coach, Larry Fedora, knows how to run an offense. They will catch Auburn sleeping. Plus, S. Miss is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 match-ups with Auburn. Take S. Miss +17.5.

Can you smell what THE SYNDICATE IS COOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!! NCAA Football is finally here!
Man we are excited for the NCAA football 2008-2009 season. We are going to hit you up with this post on some pre-season observations like What Vegas is trying to tell you and Where Vegas is trying to trap you and we are going to analyze some of the best teams and players in the country to let you know what we are thinking and to inject some of our own predictions and analysis.
We are here to provide you with full disclosure on what we are up to. Two years ago, RPJ Syndicate went 19-4 against the spread during bowl season and we made ourselves a ton of money. Last year we started this blog and started posting our picks to the public with the idea of continuing with our momentum so we could ultimately charge for our services. Well a funny thing happend on the way to the bank last season….we finished the regular season 59-54 and finished up 13 betting units. Well I do not know about you but this record was not worth paying for and we are back again this season posting our picks for free. We were up 13 units because we went 6-4 for our 5 unit bets. So there you have it. We will tell you why we are picking certain games and our MONEY IS 100% behind every recommendation we make so we feel the pain and share the gain. We spent the offseason enhancing our betting models and extending our network of betting and information contacts and we are confident that this will be a year to remember. And now on with the show…..
Vegas has put out its W/L futures odds for the 2008 NCAA football season. The teams are ranked below in alphabetical order by the amount of games Vegas will entertain your bets over/under the team’s total win amount for the regular season; bowl games do not count. Take a look at some of the teams we are highlighting:
Ohio St – 10.5
Oklahoma – 10.5
USC – 10.5
Boise St – 10
Florida – 10
Missouri – 10
BYU – 9.5
Clemson – 9.5
Georgia – 9.5
West Virginia – 9.5
Auburn – 9
LSU – 9
Penn St – 9
South Florida – 9
Texas – 9
Virginia Tech – 9
Wisconsin – 9
California – 8
Florida St – 8
Oregon – 8
Kansas – 7.5
Miami FL – 7.5
Michigan – 7.5
South Carolina – 7.5
Tennessee – 7.5
Illinois – 7
Nebraska – 7
Notre Dame – 7
UCLA – 6
What stood out to us is Georgia. Georgia is number 1 in the coaches poll and all experts are stroking their cahcks to the Bulldogs because they return 17 starters from last year’s team and the experts love their RB/QB combo and have labelled it the best 1-2 in the country. Vegas knows their up from their down and do not even have the Dawgs winning the SEC. Vegas gives that honor to Florida. Take a look at Georgia’s schedule:
8/30 Georgia Southern
9/06 Central Michigan
9/13 @ South Carolina
9/20 @ Arizona State
10/25 @ LSU
11/08 @ Kentucky
11/15 @ Auburn
11/29 Georgia Tech
The USC Gamecocks, ASU, Alabama, Tennessee stretch is brutal and then they still play at LSU, followed up with a game against Florida and still have to travel to Auburn. We see 3 loses out of this squad. In addition, Mark Richt is not controlling this team in the offseason and the players are clearly not focused on winning championships. Multiple players are already going to start the year on the suspended list. Check out this article Georgia LB Dewberry suspended 2 games after hospital incident. Beware Bulldogs fans cause your team has a brutal schedule and all the preseason hype. With hype comes distraction. Urban Meyer has already shown how badly he wants to beat you this year and he is not alone.
USC and Ohio State are at the top of the list with an over/under of 10.5. That means in order to win this bet each team needs to lose only one game all year. These teams play in LA on September 13 so one of them will have a loss 2 or 3 games into their season. This is really the only game each team needs to worry about and the winner will likely play in the BCS title game. Outside of travelling to LA, Ohio State’s two scariest games are at Wisconsin and at Illinois. The Buckeyes get Penn State and Michigan at home and the rest of the Big Ten stinks. USC gets Ohio State at home along with Oregon, ASU and Cal. Just like back in 2004, if USC can get past a tough early schedule game (Ohio State this year and Va. Tech in 2004), their schedule lines up perfectly for an undefeated run.
The focus of college football teams really needs to focus on the QB position. The conference with the best QBs in the nation play in the Big 12. Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Missouri, Kansas, even Colorado are going to play with QBs that are going to play on Sundays. Do not be surprised to see the winner of the Big 12 playing in the BCS title game.
The other QBs to watch include Sanchez, Tebow and Pat White. If Sanchez is healthy, the Trojans have a shot at playing in the title game and never disount Tim Tebow, the best QB in the SEC. The best QB in the Big East plays for West Virginia and these guys might have a shot at sneaking through the season undefeated. White and Devine are going to be nasty.
This stuff is not rocket science. Pollsters should really look at shcedule when deciding their pre-season rankings but when they do not, Vegas knows what to do and tells us publically. No Georgia, yes to Florida. PAc-10 and Big-10 are not competitive cause they expect USC and Ohio State to only have one loss and one will be to each other. The Big 12 will be scrappy up top with Oklahoma and Missouri. Clemson will choke once again and BYU will not get to the BCS game cause Boise State is still the cream of the crop.
Stay tuned for our FREE PICKS tomorrow and let the games begin. This season is going to be fruitful.
Flash Flash and RUnny
To start things off this week we want to thank you the readers. As of time of this blog, we have had over 2,650 people read us this month. To go along with these thanks we want to ask for your input, advice, suggestions, etc… Please feel free to tell us we stink or to praise us. We know you all want winners and we do to because our money is always where our mouth is.
On the season we are 53-51, 6-4 on Eva Mendes bets and up 10 units. We are disappointed about the 10 unit mark because we would like to be higher for the bowl season but we will take it. If you listened to us, you made money and that is what matters most to us. Straight Cash Homey!!!!!
We have 9 picks for you this week but we do not have an Eva Mendes bet. Also, since we know you like it, we are going to put in as much hot tail as we can!!! Lastly, we looked at every single game this weekend so if you want our opinion or any stats or lines please let us know by leaving us a comment on this blog or emailing us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Hot Dirty Girl Games. Basically we are jumping on the two Florida teams nobody talks about….Central Florida and Florida International. The Hot Dirty Girl Game means these are chicks nobody is thinking about. They are not the South Beach hotties or Miami models, they are simply hot, probably dirty and we love them!!!!!
Boobs and camel toe…Only in a Hooters Girl competition.
Game 1 – Tulsa at Central Florida (-7.5) – We know some people are going to jump on Tulsa but we thought this line was too low. Check out Central Florida’s games sine they lost to South Florida.
Beat Tulsa 44-23 (yeah that is right, they beat them up once already)
Beat Southern Miss 34-17
Beat Marshall 47-13
Beat UAB 45-31
Beat SMU 49-20
Beat UTEP 36-20
Then throw in the fact that Central Florida is undefeated at home this season and you have to like this game. The line opened at 6.5 and we got it at 7.5 and we are not concerned. Check out the against the spread numbers:

Knights are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Knights are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games.
Knights are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games.
We love Central Florida in this game as they throw some extra dirty on this one!!!! Take Central Florida to win and cover!!!
Game 2 – North Texas at Florida International (+2.5) – This one is going to be a pretty surprising pick but we have to do it. Lets take a look at the ATS numbers first:
Mean Green are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games on turf.
Mean Green are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite.
Mean Green are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win.
Nothing to speak of
That is right….Florida International has nothing good to speak of. North Texas is favored statistically across the board accept for one key area….They can not stop the run compared to Florida International and this little stat tells us that Florida International will cover and possibly win. North Texas is playing for nothing and Florida International is playing for an important first win on the season. We are taking Florida International to cover!!!
Game 3 – Army at Navy (-14) – The Tomb Raider Game. Basically we wanted to show support for our troops by showing you a picture of one of the hottest chicks in the world with a gun. Enjoy!
Navy runs the ball and runs it well, almost 340 yards per game and Army gives up almost 230 yards per game. Navy’s defense is bad but not as bad as Army’ and Army has a terrible offense as well…not as bad as Notre Dame’s but it is putrid. Check out the ATS numbers:
Black Knights are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games as an underdog.
Black Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in December.
Black Knights are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Black Knights are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a bye week.
Midshipmen are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in December.
Midshipmen are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games as a favorite.
Midshipmen are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games.
Midshipmen are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a bye week.
Midshipmen are 42-20-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
Then throw in the fact that the favorite is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings and the Black Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings and you have to love Navy. We almost threw this in as an Eva Mendes bet but we could not pull the trigger in a rivalry game. Take Navy to win and cover!!!!
Game 4 – UCLA at USC (-20) – Murder Game Number 2. We picked the USC/Arizona State game perfectly. USC is on fire right now and beat the living piss out of ASU and left ASU’s QB bloody and in pain. We think this week will be more of a beatdown. It is a revenge game for USC. USC lost last year to UCLA and lost a chance to beat the crap out of Ohio State in the National Championship Game. Check out this clip form last week to see and feel the bloodiness.
Here are the ATS numbers for you:
Bruins are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 meetings.
Bruins are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Southern California.
Trojans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite.
Trojans are 6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Trojans are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Trojans are 26-11 ATS in their last 37 home games.
Trojans are 25-11 ATS in their last 36 games as a home favorite.
Trojans are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games on grass.
We think USC is the best team in the country right now. The only reason Vegas would set this line this high is because all of the money is picking UCLA and Vegas thinks USC wins by 21 points or more. In addition, UCLA is terrible in the Coliseum and has no offense and we think the revenge factor will be too much for them to overcome. USC wins easily, with a lot of blood and they might actually kill a UCLA player on the field this time around. They came close in Arizona but might get the job done this time. USC wins big and covers!!!
Game 5 – Florida Atlantic at Troy (-15) – The Little Trojans Bowl. the Trojans name is hot. USC is beating people’s asses and Troy is 8 and 2 against the spread on the season. So as a reward our Little Troy Trojans get linked up with the perfect chick ass….a pic from our girl Keyra. Google this chick if you have never seen her ass and videos.
Ay Carumba!!! Gotta love it!!! Here are the ATS numbers:
Owls are 3-9 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Owls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.
Owls are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games as a road underdog.

Owls are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Owls are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games as a road underdog of 10.5 or greater.

Trojans are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
Trojans are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
Trojans are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
Trojans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Trojans are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Trojans are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
Trojans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games.
Trojans are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 conference games.
Trojans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite.
Trojans are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Trojans are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games on grass.
Trojans are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall.
Trojans are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.
Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite.
Trojans are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as a home favorite of 10.5 or greater.
Got it? Troy Trojans represent just like the USC Trojans and lays a beat down. They will reward us for that Keyra ass shot. Troy wins and covers easily!!!
Game 6 – Oregon St. at Oregon (pick em) – Could we really pick this game without showing some authentic Beaver. We did not think so.
Oregon is probably going to end this season like they did last year by losing their last few games and getting blown out in a bowl game once the team realizes they have no chance. We feel bad for them but sympathy does not put cash in our pockets. This game opened as a pick em because Autzen is a brutal place to play and Oregon State has not faired well there the last few times. Dennis Dixon is out for the season and Brady Leaf is doubtful. When you are relying on Brady Leaf you know you are in trouble. Here are the ATS numbers:
Beavers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on turf.
Beavers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games.
Beavers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Beavers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in December.
Beavers are 36-17 ATS in their last 53 games following a ATS win.
Ducks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
Ducks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in December.
Mrs. Flash Flash is picking Oregon. Once again she is picking against us. She is 1-3 on the season and is picking the Ducks because she played touch football in Autzen stadium three Summers ago. Sorry to the Mrs. but you will be wrong again and lose your 4th straight. Oregon State has won two in a row since losing to USC and Oregon has lost two in a row with Dixon out and were shut out by a terrible UCLA team last week. We think Oregon State snaps their streak in Eugene. Take Oregon State to win!!!
Game 7 – Pittsburgh at West Virginia (-28.5) – The Whack Bowl. You probably did not see comments from USC TE Fred Davis this week but he was talking about the prospect of West Virginia facing Missouri for the national championship game. USC tight end Fred Davis is no fan of the current BCS title-game matchup. “Missouri-West Virginia? I don’t like that,’’ Davis said. “That’s a whack bowl game. But I think Oklahoma will beat Missouri anyways.” Yes we are bitter USC blew two games this year and is not playing for a BCS title. We think they have the best team. Alright enough bitching lets see some hot chicks.
We are only looking at one ATS number this week. The Mountaineers are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win. So what do you do with this game. West Virginia knows they need to win and they play for the national title. PITT is not that good. West Virginia has been explosive. We think this is a combo of two things. First is the Nebraska syndrome. The Nebraska Syndrome was what Tom Osborne used to do at Nebraska. For home games he would not blow teams out because he would play 2nd, 3rd, 4th string etc… so everybody got a chance to play in front of their family and boosters. We think this has Nebraska Syndrome written all over it. The second thing is one of our weird stats that you just need to trust us on and yes we know we went 0-2 the last time we told you about it but we are going to keep riding the percentages. So we think West Virginia will win but will not be able to cover. Take PITT for the cover!!!
Game 8 – Virginia Tech at Boston College (+4.5) – The Thanks for Trying Game. Jessica Simpson tried at her marriage, tried at an acting career and tried to look smart. Well thanks for trying Miss Simpson. You are hot as hell though.
So we want to thank Virginia Tech for trying. They tried damn hard to beat BC last time and they are trying really hard now to impress down the stretch. Well we want to thank them for trying cause trying does not put money in our pockets. We do not know one expert that is giving BC a chance in this game. BC was outplayed down in Blacksburg for 57 minutes but pulled out the win and that was on the road. The experts say Virginia Tech has been playing like one of the best teams in the country and there are even some fools lobbying for them to play in the national championship game. Please!!! Boston College has shown that they get the job done and win football games. We love that they are the underdog and are getting 4.5 points. Take a look at the ATS numbers:
Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in December.
Eagles are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.
Eagles are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games in December.
Eagles are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games as an underdog.
Eagles are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss.
Eagles are 35-17 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Heads up the Hokies are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 meetings and the underdog is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings. We are not sure BC will win but we think this game will be 3 points or less in margin of victory. BC is not getting any respect and Va Tech is the hot pick this week. Take BC to cover!!!
Game 9 – Tennessee at LSU (-7.5) – The Pamela Anderson Game. What do we know about Pam Anderson…She is hot, she has a sick body and she has Hep C and can literally kill you.
Well Les Miles has a nice coaching pedigree, he has top 3 talent on his team easily, he has one of the best defense in the country but his decision to puruse the Michigan job killed LSU this year. We feel sorry for LSU fans this week. Les Miles is screwing them just like he did to Oklahoma State back in 2004. The nation knows he is going to interview for the Michigan job after the SEC championship game and will likely take that position. So why the hell is he still coaching the Tigers. It is a shame because with a serious coach that is fighting for his own job and for his team, there is no way they lose at home to Arkansas. As we explained last week, Les Miles is a dud when is knows he is going to leave a team… he lost his last regular season game and the bowl game for Oklahoma State in 2004 and now he loses to Arkansas, will probably lose to Tennessee and then bail on the Tigers for Michigan. Shame on you Les Miles. Take a look at the ATS numbers:
Volunteers are 5-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Volunteers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Volunteers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game.
Volunteers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win.
Volunteers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference games.
Tigers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Tigers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite.
Tigers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall.
Tigers are 1-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss.
Tigers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 conference games.
Tigers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
LSU is simply getting worse on Defense and with Les Miles leaving we think LSU has little to no chance of winning this game. We are not advising the moneyline and we are taking Tennessee and the points. We were right last week against Arkansas and we will be right this week. Bet the Vols!!!
Getting back to Keyra…if you have not witnessed one of her videos you have to check this out. We felt like we needed to leave you with this heading into bowl season. This ass certainly psyches us up. You might need to register with youtube but it is worth it. Trust us.
Flash Flash and Runny
Happy Turkey Day!!! When I write for The Syndicate I am 4-1 on the season and up 4 units after my Dos Tacos winning pick on the Louisville/UNLV game.
George Mason at Kansas State (-2) = Kansas St. is giving 2 against George Mason. Vegas has a way of never forgetting a Cinderella. This is one of those cases. This George Mason team has 2 players who saw time on the final 4 team from 2 years ago. They were an average mid major before that. They are an average mid major now Michael Beasley is being showcased this year and Kansas St. has a few other top players, too. 2 points is 2 little. Take K. St. here and roll with Mr. Beasley.
Maury the Wig
“I love the smell of napalm in the morning”…Not so much but our picks last week smelled worse than napalm, they smelled like dog shit!!!. Our picks were putrid last week and gave us our first losing picking segment on the season (NCAA and NFL). Here is where we stand…
On the season NCAA picks are 20-16, our Brinks truck bets (bet 5 times your normal betting unit) are 3-2 and we are up 8 units on the season. Still profitable and only one down week in 6 weeks. This is a marathon and not a sprint and the entire goal of the season is to build a big enough bankroll to crush the bowl season and that is where the BIG MONEY is!!!! We were 19-4 last year during the bowl season and that record is what prompted us to get this blog up and running so we can prove to you how we are successful and that we can consistently make you money.
As always… our picks are below and our money is where our mouth is.
Because Week 6 was shitty we are giving you 6 great picks this time around. Just kidding this is actually how the numbers worked out this week.

THE BRINKS TRUCK BET OF THE CENTURY. Yes you heard that right. We love our first pick of the week and will be betting 5 times our normal amount.
1) Boston College (-13.5) @ Notre Dame – This game is a joke and the Boston College bettors will get the benefit of the irrational leprechaun lovers first win last week. Lets take a look at what really happened last week…UCLA had 7 turnovers, outgained ND 2-1 on offense, held ND to under 100 yards passing and 50 yards rushing, had 11 penalties, gave up a TD to the ND defense, had to play a red shirt freshman at QB and the list goes on and on. What basically happened is every single thing that could go wrong for UCLA did and now YOU the bettor gets to take advantage of it. America is a beautiful thing isn’t it. UCLA was a 21 point favorite at home against Notre Dame and now Boston College, THE 4TH (I mean $$$th) rated team in the country is only a 13.5 favorite at Notre Dame…This has to be a joke. Notre Dame already has shown that they can not compete against athletic teams and Boston College can run, pass and play defense. BC’s defense is excellent against the run and I love any time a defense can force ND to pass. We have seen that game plan before…..drop back for a pass…oh oh oh… sacked by 5 defenders. This is a clean sweep game, which means Boston College is more efficient on offense, more efficient on defense and has a better turnover ratio on the season. The historians are going to remember all the classic BC/ND matchups that ended with game winning field goals…We could give a shit!!! We know this is a BC team that has a swagger that is gonna go into South Bend and beat some ass. Boston College wins this in a blowout!!!!! We got on this game earlier in the week and do have it a -13.5 but we would still recommend this up to -20.
2) Virginia Tech (-13.5) @ Duke – At first glance this is a bit scary because Duke is one of the best teams against the spread in the country at 5-1 and Va. Tech is only 1-4. Well the game stats do not lie. Virginia Tech gives us another clean sweep matchup…Va. Tech rushes for more yards a game, converts more 3rd downs on offense, its defense gives up less rushing yards a game than Duke and lets opposing offenses convert less third downs and is better in the turnover margin game. Here are some other historical numbers to back up our “clean sweep” stat approach…Hokies are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a road favorite of 10.5 or greater. Hokies are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game. Hokies are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games in October. Hokies are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a road favorite. Hokies are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 road games. Hokies are 6-2 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. Hokies are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 conference games. Hokies are 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games following a ATS win. Some reasons we do not like the Dukies include: Blue Devils are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games in October. Blue Devils are 10-26 ATS in their last 36 home games. Blue Devils are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games as a home underdog. Blue Devils are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog of 10.5 or greater. Blue Devils are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Basically as we see it….Va. Tech is hot after getting blown out by LSU. They destroyed Clemson on the road last week and Clemson is much better than Duke and Death Valley is 1 million times more difficult to play in then Wallace Wade Football Stadium. Lets see…Wallace Wade versus Death Valley. Unless the nerdy Duke students are going to figure out how to give the entire Hokie roster diarrhea before the game this line is a joke. Actually Va. Tech would still cover this with pants full of crap. Take Va. Tech and cash!!!!
3) Drum roll please………..We are back with our favorite team from last year!!!!We’ve got the Fever, the Fever, the Fever for LeFevour. He is back!!!! Army @ Central Michigan (-13.5) – Did you know what team was best against the spread last season…..Central Michigan. Bet you did not get that one. Now that we are 6 games into the season and Central Michigan has played some nasty road games against the likes of Purdue and Kansas and now is into the middle of the season and is no longer thinking, damn it we lost Joe Staley to the NFL, this team is on a mini roll. Central Michigan is hot after getting embarassed by North Dakota St. at home. They are 2-0 ATS in their last two and won easily at home against Northern Illinois and at Ball State and they are putting up points in bunches. Looking closer, Central Michigan is a another clean sweep stat team this week. They dominate Army across the board. Some trends of importance: Army Black Knights are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. Black Knights are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games on Turf. Black Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Black Knights are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in October. Central Michigan Chippewas are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games in October. Chippewas are 11-0-1 ATS in their last 12 home games. Chippewas are 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games as a home favorite. Chippewas are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games on Turf. Chippewas are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite. Chippewas are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS win. Chippewas are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 games overall.
We are happy to be placing money in the hands of our favorite QB. Catch the fever for LeFevour and take Central Michigan to the bank!!!!
4) Baylor @ Kansas (-26) – Another clean sweep team. Kansas dominates Baylor across the board and is 4 and 0 against the spread this season. I do not even have anything good to write about Baylor potentially pulling something here. Check this out: Bears are 18-39 ATS in their last 57 games as an underdog of 10.5 or greater. Bears are 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games following a double-digit loss at home. Bears are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Bears are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Bears are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. Bears are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss. Bears are 1-11 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. And the the 0 fers: Bears are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog of 10.5 or greater. Bears are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog. Bears are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game. Bears are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in October. Bears are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 conference games. Bears are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog.
So in other words….Baylor is flat out terrible and they are playing on the road against Kansas team that loves to throw up points. Now don’t get me wrong, Baylor is not Notre Dame terrible. Ha ha. I love a season where ND can be the brunt of every joke. This is the first Kansas team that has won at Kansas St. since 1989. This Kansas team has some toughness and should not be taken lightly. Take Kansas and don’t look back!!!
5) Missouri (+10.5) @ Oklahoma – We can not wait to watch this game. A Missouri team rolls into Oklahoma with an undefeated record and an undefeated record against the spread at 4 and 0. One of the last remaining undefeated teams against the spread in the nation. This is an interesting matchup. Both teams run the ball well but Missouri has a significant advantage moving the chains and converting third downs 59% versus 46.7% for Oklahoma. On the defensive side of the ball and this will come as no surprise, Oklahoma has a great run defense and holds opponents to 25.5% third down conversion ratio versus 37.2% for Missouri. The turnover ratio is plus 5 for Missouri and plus 4 for Oklahoma. So it comes down to the fact that there is no real clear favorite in this game and we have to wonder if playing at Oklahoma is a 10.5 point advantage. We do not think so!!! We can spit out positive against the spread stats for both teams but we are only going to focus on one….In heads up play, the underdog is 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 meetings. Both teams have banged up RBs so then what do you look to…. you look at QB. Leadership at QB clearly goes to Missouri’s Chase Daniel. Sam Bradford is good but he is only in his first year and Daniel is a veteran and that is huge in games like this. We love getting this many points betting on Missouri and would not be surprised if Missouri hands the Sooners their second loss of the year.
6) Oregon St. @ Cal (-14) – This game is almost a clean sweep game. Somehow Oregon St. has a great rushing defense but we think this number is an anomaly and other than that Cal blows them out of the water. This Cal team is hot and really looked impressive at Oregon two weeks ago. On the flip side, Oregon St. just can not get things going and really ends up beating themselves with a minus 9 turnover ratio, including 23 turnovers on offense. The against the spread numbers do not really support Cal in this one but we think this is a different Cal team. Cal’s young defense causes turnovers, they run the ball extremely well and have playmakers on both sides of the ball and they are battle tested against ranked teams on the road. Taking care of an underperforming Oregon St. team at home will not be a challenge. If Cal screws us again like they did in the Colorado St. game, we are going to personally serve Jeff Tedford a giant turd sandwich. Take Cal, even if they lose we will videotape Tedford eating his turd sandwich and that will be worth it.
Good luck this week. We apologize for our lackluster 1-2 performance during week 6 but we will be back and we will be back this week. RPJ’s system is battle tested and we will prove to you that we are long term winners. “Start living the life, bet like you mean it, make a boat load of cash and deliver a strong pimp hand.”
Flash and Runny
As always…we will start with our record…it is 8-5 overall and 2-0 within the 8-5 when we see one game we bet 5 times our normal bet. Last but not least…our money is where our mouth is on every bet we discuss. We have 7 opportunities right now that we are going to discuss and we have one game we are watching and waiting for the spread to drop half a point. Make sure you pay close attention to the lines we are betting. Some people complained they pushed with West Virginia last week or even lost but if you look at the spread we bet we hit it. In order to do this successfully you need to have more than one online account and always get the best spread out there. And now with the picks:
West Virginia (-16.5) at Maryland – Get on the West Virginia bandwagon. They started slow on the road against Marshall last week but poured it on in the second half to cover for us. Every team needs some adversity now and again and we do not see West Virginia starting slow in this one. Slaton and White are both Heisman candidates and their coach loves to pour it on and give these guys an opportunity to do something. Maryland does deserve some respect, they have a ball control offense and they have improved on defense since West Virginia blasted them 45-24 last year. We just do not think it is enough. We think you will get the West Virginia team that showed up in the second half against Marshall, not the first half. A lot of the “experts” are picking the Maryland cover but we do not see it. Mountaineers roll.
TCU (-8) at Air Force – TCU is the real deal even if their score did not show it last week against Texas. We remember TCU leading at halftime and watching a tie game at 10-10 at the end of three quarters. We think they will be pissed off they let one slide away last week and they will lay the brunt of their anger on Air Force. Here are some stas we love: TCU is 9-2 against the spread versus teams with a winning record and 19-7 in their last 26 overall. Air Force is 0-8 against the spread in their last 8 on grass and 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games. TCU wins going away.
The Brinks truck 5 times normal bet game is….drum roll please….Louisville (-6.5) at Kentucky – Everybody knows Louisville can not play defense but they sure can play offense. We think this spread should have been more in the 14-17 point range. We love picking apart spreads where the SEC plays a non-conference team because we think the SEC is overrated this year but all of the SEC homers are going to pound their teams. Louisville will have no problem scoring on Kentucky and the defense will play well enough to win by two touchdowns. We do not think this is a risky bet at all and are loading up the Brinks truck on this one and betting 5 times our normal limit. Here are some great numbers:
Louisville is 6-2 against the spread versus SEC teams in their last 8
Louisville is 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 versus Kentucky
These teams are not much different than the teams that faced off last year when Louisville won 59-28 at home. Bet Louisville and be very happy.
Notre Dame (-7.5) at Michigan – Notre Dame is flat out bad and does not know how to handle the blitz and Michigan is going to start a freshman QB. Sounds like a gangbuster of a game. Getting down to it….Michingan does have the defense to limit Notre Dame’s offense. They will blitz and blitz some more. Also, Michigan really suffered against teams running the spread offense that had a lot of speed, this is something Notre Dame does not have. We assume ND will try and pass a lot more but it will really not matter. We would not be surprised to see Michigan get revenge for their 0-2 start and win by 21.
How fun is this stat courtesy of Pat Forde at ESPN: Of the 856 points Notre Dame has scored with Weis as head coach, 19 of them have been scored by players who originally committed to and signed with him. That includes the defensive touchdown, the extra point and two field goals that constitute this season’s scoring. A Weis recruit has scored exactly one offensive touchdown in 27 games: George West on an 11-yard run last season against Purdue, one of three times West touched the ball from scrimmage in 2006.
Notre Dame is pathetic.
Western Michigan at Missouri (-20) – Missouri is one of our favorite teams this year and is 2-0 against the spread in this short season. Add to it that Missouri is 7-1 against the spread in their last 8 home games. Western Michigan has not shown anything this year and we expect a similar result to Western Michigan/West Virginia when the score was 62-24. Most people have not heard about Missouri QB Chase Daniel but he is the real deal and will play on Sundays. Missouri rolls easily in this one.
Tennessee at Florida (-8) – We looked long and hard at this spread and Vegas is basically saying that Florida is two points better than CAL. The Cal spread was -6. Florida’s loss of Andre Caldwell is a big name lost but not a big impact for the team as Florida is very deep, especially on offense. Florida is 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 SEC games but we think this case will be different. Tennessee is banged up and has already shown that they do not have the defense to stop an elite offense and Florida is playing in the swamp. We think Florida can easily win by more than 10 just like CAL did. This will be a great game to watch because we plan on comparing Florida to Cal and it might become the case that CAL is better than the number 2 team (Florida) in the SEC. Who woulds thunk it? Us of course!!!
UVA at UNC (-3) – This is an easy one. UNC all the way. UVA only had 202 yards of offense against Duke. UNC has a lot of young players and a lot of talent and a winning attitude. They will rebound after a tough loss to East Carolina. UNC wins easily in this one.
***On a side note….we are wathcing the UCLA (-14) at Utah game because we want to bet this on UCLA if we can get a -13.5 spread or better. UCLA should blow them out but we do not want a push at -14. If you can get -13.5 or better take it and let us know where you got it because we want to get on this game.
Let us know what you think. Feel free to leave comments or to ask us to evaluate a game.
May your pockets be deep and filled with CASH!!!
