NBA PICKS: CALLIN’ SHOTS FROM BEYOND THE ARC

Great rebound on day 2!! 4-1 yesterday. Brings the early season record to 5-3. We are moving in the right direction. We like two games on day 3. Here we go:

Sonics @ Suns -10: Sonics played hard last night against the Nuggets. They impressed me in the defeat (also, F Coach Karl for running up the score and not getting on his team for shooting too soon. Hey Coach, have you ever heard of the shot clock???!?!? Mark our words, it will come back to haunt you). However, back-to-back games after a getting a workout against a running team like Denver is not good. Especially when the next team in line is the Suns in Phoenix. This will be a beatdown Ike Turner style. In honor of Ike, we will call this our “Ike Turner Game.” It will be a signal to you to bet it much heavier than your typical bet, ala the “Brinks Truck” bet from our NCAA picks. We will give these to you from time to time as the season progresses. Take the Suns -10.

Rockets @ Jazz -4: Although this is not at the Ike Turner level, we like this one a lot as well. The Jazz came out swinging on opening night against the Warriors. The Rockets did not look good against a talent challenged Lakers team. We like the Jazz to cover easy. Take the Jazz -4.

There you go. Two more winners. We are giving these away!! Use it to your advantage and pillage. We are, and so should you.

MLB & NBA Results

Was a slow weekend. Only had the Jazz-Suns game. The Suns covered, so I won my only game. That brings my record to date to:

  • MLB: 11-10
  • NBA: 12-2-2
  • UFC: 2-1

Winning record in all three. I’m lovin’ my NBA record. Not too many of the lines for tomorrow’s games are out yet.  So far, I don’t like any of the games/lines out right now. I’ll take a look again tomorrow and let you know what I think.

Big UFC card this Saturday. I’ll definately be making picks for the fights. No lines are out yet though.

Good luck.

MLB & NBA Results

Good night tonight. Nuggets, Spurs (surprisingly), Bulls, Reds, Giants, Marlins, White Sox and the Rays/Twins Under all covered. Only missed the Knicks (should have known better than to pick an injury riddled, Isiah coached team) and the Nats. Went 5-1 in MLB, 3-1 in NBA. My results to date are as follows:

  • MLB: 11-10
  • NBA: 11-3-2
  • UFC: 2-1

Not many lines out for Saturday’s games. There is one I like though.

NBA

  • Jazz @ Suns. The Jazz have been good to me this year against the spread. So have the Suns. Should be a great game. Jazz are coming of a really impressive win against the Mavs in Dallas. They look to knock off the other big gun in the West on Saturday. I like the home team in this one. I think the Suns are going to come out to make a statement against the upstart Jazz. I’m taking the Suns -4.

I’ll post other picks if I see any I like after the lines come out.

 Good luck.
