NBA PICKS: 12/7/07

1-3 night last night dropped us to 54-64-2 on the season. We are in a bad rut right now, but we know it will change. It has happened before. We know we need to keep working. We like 10 plays tonight. This is what we recommend:

Bucks +1 @ Sonics: The Sonics are really fun to watch and the Bucks have been terrible against them in their recent meetings. However, we think the Bucks front court will get the job done and cover. Take the Bucks +1.

Bulls @ Pistons -8: The Bulls are smokin’ hot right now. We think this line is a trap. It is begging you to take the Bulls. That is why we are taking the Pistons. Take the Pistons -8.

Clippers @ Kings -5: The Clippers are terrible. We LOVE the Kings at home. Take the Kings -5.

Heat +8.5 @ Warriors: The Heat looked terrible last night in Portland. They are not a good team right now. No energy. The Warriors have been just the opposite. That said, we think the Heat get their heads right tonight and muster enough to cover the 8.5. Take the Heat +8.5.

Jazz @ Spurs PICK ‘EM: The Spurs showed a lot in their Duncan-less win against the Mavs. They are a very good, very well coached team. The Jazz will give them a run for their money in this game, but they are a much different team on the road. Much different. Home court gives the Spurs a big edge in this one. Take the Spurs Pick ‘EM.

Rockets -4.5 @ Nets: The Nets are just a mess. The Jason Kidd sick day and trade demand rumors are causing a major headache with this team (we know that is a terrible joke). Regardless of the recent Kidd stuff, the Nets just have not been a good team all year. We love this spread. The Rockets will get after them and take this one. Take the Rockets -4.5.

Pacers @ Magic -8; OVER/UNDER 212: The Pacers have opened eyes this year. Since trading away the trouble makers from last year’s team, they are playing much, much better. That said, we just love the Magic at home. Dwight Howard is a manchild. The Magic front court should out rebound the Pacers and the Magic back-court can handle the Pacers. Take the Magic -8. Also, the OVER is too high for these teams. They match-up well and we think they both play good D. We think they will keep it relatively low scoring. Take the UNDER 212.

Suns -6.5 @ Wizards: The Suns are rollin’ on this road trip. They own the NBA LEast. They roll in this one. Take the Suns -6.5.

Raptors @ Celtics -12:Injuries played a major role in this play. If Bosh and Bargnani were healthy, this would be a different pick (granted the line would be much different, too). The Celtics have been unstoppable at home. TJ Ford cannot do this on his own. Take the Celtics -12.

NBA PICKS: 11/30/07

We lost are only game last night as the Rockets failed to show-up at the Warriors. Brings our season record to a heart breaking 43-47-1. We are down, but definately not out. The season still has a long way to go and we are in it to win it. Here are our picks for tonight:

Celtics -3 @ Heat: The C’s head south to South Beach after an absolute beating of the Knicks. The Knicks put on the worse pefromance I have ever seen. Why Q. Richardson talked smack before the game about the C’s amazes me. This line is low because the Celtics are a much different team playing back-to-back games. Also, the last time they played the Heat it was at home and they barely won. We think they took the Heat for granted in the game. They will be ready for them now. 3 points is not too much for this team. Take the Celtics -3

Pacers -1.5 @ Sonics: The Pacers have been playing decent lately. The Sonics are very young and they have been making teams work to beat them. We think the experience of the pacers will win out here. Take the Pacers -1.5.

Blazers +13.5 @ Mavs: The Blazers are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games. It will end tonight. Take the Blazers +13.5.

Magic +5.5 @ Suns: The Suns have been an enigma ATS this year (if you’ve paid attention to our picks, you’ll know that that is EXTREMELY frustrating to us). The Magic are our homies. We are ridin’ with them. We think they win outright. Take the Magic +5.5.

Bucks -1.5 @ Knicks: Although experience tells us that we should take the Knicks here, we aren’t. F the Knicks. We are taking the Bucks on principal. Take the Bucks -1.5.

Good luck.

NBA PICKS 11/23/07

We hope everyone had a great Turkey Day! Back to work for us. Still can’t get above .500, but we haven’t had a losing night in quite some time. Our season record is 37-38-1. It will improve. Here are our picks:

Lakers @ Celtics -7: All of the ATS numbers scream take the Lakers. However, this C’s team is unlike the Celtics teams Kobe and the Lakers have faced. Still, this game will be a close cover. But, we still like the Celtics. Take the Celtics -7.

Mavericks -7.5 @ Pacers: The Mavs have been comeback kids lately and the Pacers are playing better. The Pacers will have no answer for Dirk. This may be a double digit beatdown. Take the Mavs-7.5.

Grizzlies +12 @ Spurs: The Spurs are coming off an absolute beatdown of the uber hot Magic. The Grizz have struggled and have no clutch, go-to scorer. However, we think they cover here. The Spurs are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 against the NBA Southwest and the underdog is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 head-to-head match-ups. That is enough for us. Take the Grizzlies +12.

Good luck!

NBA PICKS: DAY 19 (11/17/07)

0-5 night last night really hurt us. 30-32-1 on the season. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Looking to rally tonight. Here’s who we like:

Blazers +6.5 @ Wizards: The Wiz were impressive last night in Minnesota. The Blazers lost on the road to a decent Sixers team. Interesting game here. The Blazers cover a lot for us, even though they have been terrible ATS in ther recent road games. However, the road team in this meeting is 8-2 ATS in the last 10. This is too many points. Take the Blazers +6.5.

Sonics @ Bobcats -8: Durant is bursting on to the scene!!!! Can only build confidence from last night. However, the Bocats are just too good. Especially at home and rested. Take the Bobcats -8.

Jazz -5.5 @ Pacers: Pacers sucks. Jazz will rebound. Take the Jazz -5.5.

Hornets -6 @ T’Wolves: The Hornets are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 meetings with the Wolves. The Hornets will rebound from last night. Take the Hornets -6.

Suns -6 @ Rockets: Rockets have hit the wall. No McGrady. The Suns are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 meetings and the road team is 9-3 ATS in their last 12. Take the Suns -6.

There you go. Good luck with your picks.

NBA PICKS: DAY 15

2-0-1 last night brought our season record to 23-22-1. Glad to be back on the winning side. Hopefully you are, too. Let’s keep it going. Here are our picks for tonight:

Celtics -7 @ Pacers: The spread is high for a road team, but the Celtics are rested and are destroying teams. We are riding with them until they hurt us. Take the Celtics -7.

Heat +1.5 @ Bobcats: Bobcats already beat them down in Miami earlier in the season. We like them to do the same at home. Take the Bobcats -1.5.

Rockets @ Grizzlies +6.5: Rockets are a different team on the road. They are terrible ATS on Tuesday, too. Take the Grizzlies +6.5.

Pistons -5 @ Blazers: This game scares us a little because the Pistons are a terrible road team. However, the Blazers have been terrible ATS against Central teams. We think the Pistons have enough and will cover. Take the Pistons -5.

There’s our picks for tonight. Good luck.

NBA PICKS DAY 11

Terrible 0-2 night last night dropped us to 18-15 on the season.  That puts us at about 55% on the season. Believe us, that is freakin’ terrible for our standards. We will get it rolling. Here’s who we like tonight:

Magic Pick’Em @ Knicks: The Zack Randolph trade may have saved Isaiah his job for another two seasons. The Knicks are playing well. So are the Magic. This is a very intriguing game. The Magic are our cover horses. We are sticking with them until they fail us. Take the Magic Pick ‘Em.

Pacers +1.5 @ Bobcats: This game may be a trap-our analysis says the Pacers should be favored by at least 3.5 in this game. If it is a trap, we are falling for it. Take the Pacers +1.5.

Clippers +8 @ Pistons: The Clipp have been extremely fun to watch this year. The Pistons have not been what we thought they would be (never should have lost to a struggling Bulls team this week). We think the Pistons rebound at home and win, but not cover. Take the Clippers +8.

Jazz -6 @ Sonics: Very interesting game. On paper, the Jazz should steamroll the Sonics. The Sonics are young and are making the typical mistakes a young team will make. The Jazz have been good, but don’t look like they have improved from last year. The season is long though. Our gut is telling us that the Sonics cover at home. We just think the jazz have too many weapons. Take the Jazz -6.

There’s our 4 picks for the night. Good luck with your’s.
