NBA PICKS: 11/28/07

Another 1-2 night!! I think we should change our name to 1-2 we hit it so much. Our season record is 40-44-1. It is a joke. We know. We will rebound. Here are picks tonight:

Cavs @ Pistons -8.5: This is a Vegas trap game. With the way the Cavs have been playing, this spread should be no where near this high. If anything, the Pistons should be the dog. That said, we are taking the Pistons. Take the Pistons -8.5.

Magic -8.5 @ Sonics: Magic are rested. They will roll. Take the Magic -8.5.

Jazz @ Sixers +6.5: The Jazz are a terrible road team ATS. We like the Sixers to cover. Take the Sixers +6.5.

Grizzles +6.5 @ Raptors: We are going against intuition here. We typically take the Raptors. However, we think the Grizzlies will cover. Take the Grizz +6.5.

Warriors -1.5 @ Kings: Very close match-up. Despite the Kings being great dogs at home, we think the Warriors end their trend of covers. Take the Warriors -1.5.

Good luck.

NBA PICKS: 11/27/07

Greetings. We look to get off the schneid tonight after another terrible 1-2 night. We feel like the Bengals of NBA picking!!! Our season record is 39-42-1. No need to tell us how bad it is. We have been in ruts like this before. We will rebound. Here is what we like tonight:

Celtics -4 @ Cavs: This line has been going up throughout the day. Easy to understand why-the Celtics should roll. They are coming off of 2 full days of rest. The two other times they have done that this year (Pacers & Warriors) they are 2-0 ATS. In those two games they beat their opponents by an average of 19 points. They may not do that much damage to the Cavs on the road tonight, but they can cover 4. This is a Ike Turner Game (5 X your normal bet) for us. We actually added a little more stank to it for us. Take the Celtics Ike Style -4.

Grizzlies + 6 @ Nets: The Nets finally got Vinsanity back, and they are playing much better since his return to the line-up. They should win this game, but we think the Grizz will keep it closer than 6. Take the Grizzlies +6.

Bobcats +7 @ Heat: The Heat are improving day by day with the return of Flash. However, they are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 against the NBA Southeast. That stat screams they that they are due to cover. However, there are a whole lot more ATS numbers that back-up the fact that they will not cover tonight either. The Bobcats have a HUGE mismatch at PG. That is telling-Felton can handle the rock enough to keep this close. We think 7 points is just too much. Take the Bobcats +7.

That is our action on NBA for the night. Good luck with your picks.

NBA Picks for Day 18 – 11/16/2007

We do not have much time today with our new NCAA hoops coverage, NCAA football picks and getting our NFL picks out. We do like 5 NBA games tonight. We went 1-1 yesterday in the NBA and on the season we are 30-27-1. The five picks for today are:

Pistons (+3) at Lakers – Take the Pistons to cover
Heat at Celtics (-11.5) – Celtics are crushing teams. Celtics win and cover
Hornets (-3.5) at Grizzlies – We like the Hornets to win and cover in this one
Sonics at Hawks (-7.5) – We like the Hawks to win big at home
Jazz (-1) at Cavaliers – Jazz are a better team and win this road game

Sorry for the short post but we are in crisis mode cause Runny’s computer died. Look for more detailed posts in the future.

NBA PICKS: DAY 16

Good night last night-3-1. Brings our season record closer to respectability at 26-23-1. Not even close to good, but a little closer to a record that we can talk about in public. It will keep improving. Here’s our picks for tonight:

Magic +3 @ Cavs: We are a little reluctant to take the Magic in this one, but we like the points. We think they will cover. Take the Magic +3.

Jazz -1.5 @ Raptors: A battle of teams that love to cover for us. Utah owns their recent match-ups. Take the Jazz -1.5.

Sixers @ Hornets -8.5: Hornets destroyed them recently in Philly. The Sixers played most of last night’s game against the Mavs close, but lost it big in the end. The Hornets are rested and at home. A lot of points to give-up to a team that plays good D, but we think the Hornets will cover. Take the Hornets -8.5.

Knicks @ Clippers: The Knicks are a team in turmoil. And they are bad. The Clippers are rested and at home. Take the Clippers -8.

Pistons @ Warriors +2.5: The Pistons screwed us last night. The Warriors are winless, and they have too much talent to be winless at this point. They are rested. They get their first W tonight. Take the Warriors +2.5.

Kings +2 @ Wolves: This is an Ike Turner Game (more than typical bet). We like this a lot. Both teams are bad, but the numbers point to the Kings winning big. It is fantastic that they are getting points. Take the Kings +2.

There you go. Good luck with your picks.

NBA PICKS: DAY 14

We must start with an apology. 0-4 last night brought our record to 21-22. No need to provide any explanation. Just an apology. Sorry. We are in the same boat (we back-up our picks). Only place to go from here is up. Here you go:

Hornets @ Nets +2: Intriguing match-up. The Hornets have shown flashes of brilliance. The Nets have been their usual sturdy self. However, Vinsanity tweaked his ankle and is doubtful for tonight. That is a big loss for the Nets. However, even with Vince out, the Nets still kept is somewhat close against the Celtics. They still have other weapons, but not enough to keep up with the Hornets. Also, the road team is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings and the Hornets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. Take the Hornets -2.

Cavs @ Nuggets -7.5: The Cavs roll into Denver after their solid win last night against the Clippers. They will face a rested Nuggets team that dominated in their last two games (both wins). The Nuggets are without Nene. That is a big loss. We like the rested Nuggets team to cover. Take the Nuggets -7.5.

Kings @ Jazz -13.5: The Kings have been terrible on the road. The Jazz have been solid at home. This is a lot of points and in their last 17 meetings in Utah, the Kings are 13-4 ATS. That would seem to say take the Kings and the points. We just can’t do it. We are sticking with the Jazz. Take the Jazz -13.5.

Good luck.

NBA PICKS: LUCKY #13

Greetings. 2-0 last night brinning us to 21-18 on the year. If you read our blog yesterday, you’ll remember that we wrote that yesterday, Day 12, was the first step in our road to recovery. Day 13 is our lucky day and is step two. Here are our picks for today:

Hornets @ Sixers +2.5: The Six are playing RIDICULOUS D. They seem to be better without Iverson. The New AI, Andre Igoudala,  is the real deal and is flourishing in his new role as the team go-to-guy. The Hornets have opened eyes this year, too. However, we like the Six at home getting points. Their D is strong enough to keep it within 2.5. Take the Sixers +2.5.

Pistons -6.5 @ Sonics: Sonics have played every bit like the young team they are-flashes of brilliance but usually ending in losses. The Pistons come to town as a heavy veteran favorite. It is justified. Although this is a lot of points to give, we think it is legit. The Pistons will cover. Take the Pistons -6.5.

Rockets -6.5 @ Bobcats: The Rockets have stormed out of the gate this year. They are playing sick D and McGrady is loking like the early favorite for MVP. The Bobcats seem to be putting it together (off an impressive win against the Pacers last Friday). The Rockets just have too much. Take the Rockets -6.5.

Cavaliers @ Clippers Pick ‘EM: The Cavs have not looked good at all. They squeaked out a win against a bad Kings team in their last game. Not good. The Clipp have been the exact opposite. With the exception of the beatdown they caught in Detroit on Friday, they have been real good. We like them at home. Take the Clippers Pick ‘EM.

There you go. Good luck with your picks
