12/22 Free NCAA Football Bowl Pick and Hot Chicks: Southern Miss versus Cincinnati

We are throwing another Heidi Klum bet out there for this game.

1 Unit Bet = The Heidi Klum bet. You know she is hot but her judgement must be suspect cause she married one of the ugliest human beings outside of Scottie Pippen, Sam Cassell and Charlie Weis (of course we took a dig at Notre Dame in this blog). We love the Heidi Klum but something is off with her judgement so we are only comfortable making her a a one unit bet.

Southern Miss versus Cincinnati (-11.5) in the Papajohns.com Bowl

Southern Miss’ Coach resigned at the end of this season after 17 years in what was a disappointing season because this team was predicted to win Conference USA this season. He will be coaching his last game and some experts think this will be a motivating factor. Other factors include Southern Miss having a top notch Conference USA defense, giving up 23.6 points per game and 363.2 yards per game…if that even is supposed to be considered good. Cincinnati has a defense that struggles against the pass but is solid against the run. This matchup simply looms as a poor one for Southern Miss and that is why the spread is in the double digits. Southern Miss runs more than they pass and Cincy only gives up 105.7 yards per game. In addition, Cincy has a plus 17 turnover ratio compared to Southern Miss at minus 2. Lets look at the ATS numbers:

Southern Miss
Golden Eagles are 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Golden Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.
Golden Eagles are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win.
Golden Eagles are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Golden Eagles are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog of 10.5 or greater.
Golden Eagles are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog.

Cincinnati
Bearcats are 5-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Bearcats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.
Bearcats are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite of 10.5 or greater.
Bearcats are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up win.
Bearcats are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
Bearcats are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. CUSA.
Bearcats are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
Bearcats are 13-3-2 ATS in their last 18 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Bearcats are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games on turf.
Bearcats are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Bearcats are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.

Head to Head
Golden Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings

Cincy was also 8-2-1 against the spread this season. Do you see how this game will play out…we do. Southern Miss will not be able to run on Cincy, will fall behind, pass more than they are used to and start to turn the ball over and Cincy will steam roll them. Southern Miss’ lone victory against a bowl team came on Sept. 15 against East Carolina. In their other four games against bowl teams, they lost by an average of 15.5 points. Do you see why we are fine with this line where it is?

Cincy wins and covers!!!!

12/22 Free NCAA Football Bowl Pick and Hot Chicks: UCLA versus BYU

The return of the Eva Mendes bet. She has treated us well.

5 Unit Bet = The Eva Mendes Bet – We love us some Eva and think she is a Goddess. Since we renamed the Brinks truck bet the Eva Mendes we went 3-1 with it.

This has to be one of our favorite pics of all time….

UCLA versus BYU (-7) – Las Vegas Bowl other wise known as the Bowl where BYU beats the ass of a Pac-10 team

Last year BYU beat an Oregon team that was skidding to the end of the season by 30 points and now they get a UCLA team that ended the season 2-5, saw their coach get fired and were one of the few teams that actually let Notre Dame get a win. How they let Notre Dame win will never really be known. We think it was fixed because Notre Dame sucks more than a $1 meth whore. Now we throw in the fact that the wild and crazy Mormon faithful flock to Vegas to see BYU play and this is a revenge game because UCLA beat BYU 27-17 in the second week of the season (9/8/2007) and you can see BYU throwing down another 30 point beat down. This game becomes a Super Bowl for the rabid Mormon fans and we know UCLA fans will not travel. Since UCLA’s RB stud Kahlil Bell went down for the season in October, UCLA has only been able to muster 5 offensive TDs over their last 4 games. BYU has won 9 games in a row and the offense is actually doing better than last years John Beck led offense.

Lets get into the ATS numbers:

UCLA
Bruins are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Bruins are 14-3-1 ATS in their last 18 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
Bruins are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight up loss.
Bruins are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 vs. MWC.
Bruins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on grass.
Bruins are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.
Bruins are 22-6 ATS in their last 28 games as an underdog.
Bruins are 22-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Bruins are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
Bruins are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Bruins are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.

BYU
Cougars are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Cougars are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a ATS win.
Cougars are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Pac-10.
Cougars are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
Cougars are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.
Cougars are 20-7-1 ATS in their last 28 games on grass.
Cougars are 17-6-1 ATS in their last 24 games as a favorite.
Cougars are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Cougars are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Cougars are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 games overall.
Cougars are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight up win.

Throwing all of these numbers down on this blog makes UCLA look a little beter than they really are. We know they have a decent defense but they have absolutely no offense. Some of the UCLA seniors say they are playing with pride but once they get into Las vegas and get kicked in the mouth a few times by the Mormons they will lay down and fold just like they did all year. UCLA is in limbo, the players like the interim Coach Walker but there are names getting thrown around daily like Chow and Jim Harbaugh and we do not think the players will be able to focus and concentrate. BYU will come out strong and never let up just like they did last year against Oregon. UCLA wants no part of this team and it will show. The BYU Mormons beat down the Sally Bruins and win and cover Big!!! We are betting Eva’s sweet ass that they do. Load up 5 times your normal bet and watch this game with holiday glee as you earn some extra cash for last minute shopping.

One more parting shot of one of our favorite ladies…

12/22 Free NCAA Football Bowl Pick and Hot Chicks: Nevada vs. New Mexico

On this very short bowl season we are 0-1 and down 2 units with multiple bets out there now. Check our other blogs for more detail. We are back with another Heidi Klum bet.

Hello Miss Klum!!!

heidi-klum-black.jpg

Might as well throw in some video:

On with the game…

Nevada versus New Mexico (-2.5) in the New Mexico Bowl

This is another game where you probably do not know anything about either team. You probably just assume that since New Mexico has a winning record and is playing at home that is all there is to it. Well you need to look a lot deeper to understand this game.

Lets look at Nevada first and here is what you need to know….

– Nevada handed over their QB duties to a freshman in their fifth game
– This freshman is named Colin Kaepernick and he almost beat Boise State and Hawaii; losing both by only two points
– Kaepernick threw for 19 touchdown passes, 3 picks and ran for 542 yards in his eight starts
– Nevada’s running back Luke Lippincourt led the WAC in rushing, yards from scrimmage and touchdowns
– Nevada receivers occupied the top three spots in the conference’s yards per reception list, led by 1,000-yard man Marko Mitchell’s 22-yard per catch average
– Nevada posted over 39 points per game after Kaepernick took over

New Mexico
– Lost in this same bowl game at home last year to San Jose State
– Has not won a bowl game since 1961, losing 5 in a row
– New Mexico’s leading rusher, Rodney Ferguson, was declared academically ineligible and will not play.

I think you can see where our pick is going. Lets check out the ATS numbers:

Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog.
Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.
Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. MWC.
Wolf Pack are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Wolf Pack are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games on grass.
Wolf Pack are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
Wolf Pack are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.

Lobos are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Lobos are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
Lobos are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.
Lobos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Bowl games.
Lobos are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
Lobos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in December.

Lobos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Lobos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0.

Did you pick up on anything….waiting….waiting…New Mexico does not have one positive ATS number. Are you kidding us? I think you can see the writing on the wall. Nevada covers and probably wins outright in this one. We are taking Nevada and the points!!!

12/21 Free NCAA Football Bowl Pick and Hot Chicks: Florida Atalantic Versus Memphis

Please join us on our new website. We have the same hot chicks and great picks. Click here….

www.rpjsyndicate.com

On this very short bowl season we only have one game out there so far and that is Utah over Navy. Just a reminder on the ground rules….every pick we post is backed up by our own money. We made money on the regular season, up 13 units and we are putting those units to work on the bowl season. We have 6 different betting values we assign to each bowl game so pay attention.

We are assigning this a Heidi Klum bet.

Seal is one lucky dude!!!!

And of course, a shot from the backside:

heidi-klum-ass-crack-01.jpg

And on with the game….

Memphis versus Florida Atlantic (-2.5) in the New Orleans Bowl

In a game like this where the casual fan has never seen either team play this year you need to understand who is favored and why. Both teams started off the season poorly and finished strong. Memphis won 5 of their last 6 games with the lone loss a 56-40 beat down by East Carolina. Out of Memphis’ 7 wins, 5 of the wins were by 3 points or less so they know how to win close games. Florida Atlantic was 7 -5 on the season with losses at Florida, at Kentucky, at Oklahoma State and at home against South Florida. So the only loss to really question is their 33-30 loss to Louisiana-Monroe. Florida Atlantic ended the season with an impressive win against Florida International and a very impressive win against Troy as 15 point underdogs (a bet we lost and remember well).

Lets take a look at the against the spread numbers for both teams:

Florida Atlantic
Owls are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on turf.
Owls are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite.
Owls are 4-9 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Owls are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.

Memphis
Tigers are 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss.
Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.
Tigers are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Tigers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog.
Tigers are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall.
Tigers are 15-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
Tigers are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Tigers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
Tigers are 6-16 ATS in their last 22 games following a straight up win.
Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.

Looks pretty even. We will say that the Florida Atlantic ATS numbers of 4-9 ATS vs. a winning team and 2-10 ATS in their non-conference games are not that meaningful to us because they go out and play the likes of Florida, Kentucky, South Florida, etc…

When you look a little deeper at this game, Memphis’ defense sticks out as a problem. Memphis held only one opponent under 21 points this season and conceded 50-plus points to three C-USA opponents. When you combine that with the fact that Florida Atalantic averaged 36 points per game in the second half, including a 38-point performance against the conference favorites in the final game of the season you have a potential recipe for disaster. Also, Florida Atlantic has a 19-9 edge in the turnover ratio department and averaged almost 3 takeaways a game.

Now we get to the X factor, Florida Atlantic Coach Howard Schnellenberger. Coach is looking to go 5-0 in bowl games. That is right, he has never lost a bowl game and when we see the line under 3 points in their favor we are loving it. Coach coached his team to a 6-1 conference record and took out Troy when nobody was expecting it. We are not betting against this man and team again.

Florida Atlantic wins and covers!!!
