Greetings!!! 7-3 Sunday brings our record to 52-39-1. Again, 56.5% is not where we need to be, but we are moving in the right direction. Here is what we like tonight:

Saints -4.5 @ Falcons; OVER/UNDER 44: The Saints head north to the Dirty to face a struggling Falcons squad. With the Vick sentencing looming in the background, the Saints look to capitalize on some loses by other teams in their division and move closer to a playoff spot with a win. Standing in their way are the Falcons lead by Chris Redman. That’s right…Chris Redman. Last year at this time he was selling insurance in Louisville. Seriously. Not sure how he will play under the Monday night microscope, but he did look real good last week against the Rams and he knows Bobby Petrino’s offense. Could be interesting.

The Saints, on the other-hand, are desperate and know they need a win to make the playoffs and salvage their disappointing season. They head into the Georgia Dome without Reggie Bush. Will that matter? We think it will, but not to the degree people think. Reggie is a great player, but at the end of the day he is only a situational back. Mind you, a very good situational back, but not the go-to guy on offense. That is Drew Brees. He is playing and he will be able to pass on this team. We like the Saints to cover. Take the Saints -4.5.

In regards to the OVER/UNDER, we love the OVER at 44. Both teams have suspect D’s and Redman showed he can put points up on a stingy Rams D last week. The Rams D is much better than the Saints D. We like Redman at home. We think they cover the OVER easy. Take the Over 44.

Good luck!

NBA PICKS: 12/10/07

After a disappointing 5-5 night last Friday night, we took the weekend off to re-group (and focus on NFL). Our season record stands at 59-69-2. Here is what we like tonight:

Rockets @ 76ers +6:  Rockets got SMOKED last night by a battered Raptors team. They play back-to-back nights tonight against a high energy Sixers team that is fresh off of back-to-back beatdwon of the the Knicks. Not that that is an impressive feat, but they did look good. We think the Rockets right their ship and win tonight, but we think the Sixers keep it with 6. Take the Sixers +6.

Hawks @ Magic -9.5: The Hawks have been terrible ATS on the road. However, they have been good recently in Orlando. We don’t think it matters tonight. The Magic are rested. We think they roll. Take the Magic -9.5.

Mavs -8.5 @ Knicks: This is a lot of points to give a home team. Not when that team is the Knicks. Eventhough the Mavs are the softest team in the NBA, we think they cover. Take the Mavs -8.5.

Heat @ Suns -11.5; OVER/UNDER 216.5: The Heat have actually been surprisingly decent ATS in back-to-back games (4-2). That said, they are still not a good team. The last time they were in Phoenix, they lost by 28. It won’t be that bad tonight, but it will still be a beatdown. Take the Suns -11.5. We also love the OVER 216.5.

Good luck.

Great day for us today! We went 6-2 to raise our record to 51-38-1. 57% ain’t bad, but definitely not where we need it to be. We want to add two more plays because we like tonight’s game. Here you go:

Colts -8.5 @ Ravens; OVER/UNDER 42: The Ravens are home after their near monumental upset of the Pats last Monday night. What a game that was and the Ravens showed everyone that their D can still go get ’em. They should have won that game. Now they get the Colts, arguably the 2nd best team in the AFC.

They are getting a ton of points at home. What does that say? This line opened the week at 10 points. It has dropped all the way down to 8.5. The interesting thing is that the majority of the public money is on the Colts. This should raise the line, not drop it like it is. This smells like a trap. However, we don’t believe it is. The Ravens sold out last week to beat the Pats. It was their self proclaimed Super Bowl. They played like it, too. Now they get a Colts team that is banged up on offense. However, the Colts have a better D than the Pats and they can score just about as well. We think the Colts will do it.

This game screams to take the Ravens. With the trap line action and the weather (cold and rain in tonight’s forecast), it favors the Ravens to cover. We don’t think so. We think the line drop is due more to the weather than anything else. Colts still cover. We love that it is dropping. Take the Colts -8.5.

Given the weather, the Ravens D and the Ravens O, we think the cover will be close and the game will be low scoring. Take the UNDER 42.

Good luck.
