WEEK 7 NFL PICKS: WE ARE BETTER THAN NOTRE DAME

Flash and I just got back from South Bend to watch the SC_ND game. We don’t think we have ever seen a worse NCAA team. Ever. ND is sooooooooooo very bad. The score should have been worse than 38-0. They are that bad. But, we digress….

On the the issue at hand-WEEK 7 of the NFL!!! We are off to a so-so start. 13-9-2 on the season. Not bad, but not up to our standards. That said, let the games begin!! Here are our locks for this week:

Falcons @ Saints -8: Saints seemed to have righted the ship last week. Falcons are terrible. This is a lot of points, but Atlanta is just very bad. Take the Saints -8.

Bears +5.5 @ Eagles: The Bears are playing better. The Eagles are not as good has everyone thinks. Take the points. The Bears will win outright. Take the Bears +5.5.

Ravens @ Bills +3: Ravens beat up on the Rams last week and the Bills are off the bye and the heartbreaker against Dallas. The Bills are much better than people give them credit for and the Ravens are not as good as people think. We love the Bills are home. Take the Bills +3.

Steelers -3.5 @ Broncos: Intriguing game. Normally we would like the home dog in this game. Especially given that Shannahan is an animal after the bye. However, we think the Burgh is legit and Denver is just not that good. Close game, but they will cover. Take the Steelers -3.5.

That’s it. Good luck with your picks.

  1. Tell me why I shouldnt bet the Jags with the moneyline in monday night game. I think that they have a great chance.

  2. I like the Jags as well. I’m just not sold on garrard yet. I know he is having agreat year, but the Colts are coming off the bye healthy. I think Manning can beat anyone by 3.

  4. Are the Colts healthy ? They may be listed as healthy but this team is picking up injuries in their games every week – is that unlucky or are these guys already banged up a little and just going out for a few snaps to see how it goes. I like Garrard against the Colts D but I also like Manning against any D in the league, so it may be the OVER here, not the JAGS.

  5. Bob Saunders, Addai and Marvin are all back. Marvin may still be banged-up, but reports say he is likely to play. I’ve flipped-flopped a lot on this game. Flash and I did not make it one of our picks this week because we thought there were too many variables. Manning could easily beat this team by 3, but the numbers say the Jags should cover at home.

My take is the Colts and give the 3.

  6. Might of had this game if Garrad wasnt injured. But next time I will ask first. It may save a couple hundred bucks next time. But injuries are part of the game.

Here is to an great recovery next week. Cant wait!!!

  8. Colts played really well. I think they had a chip on their shoulders from the beatdwon last year. Is there anyone better than Manning?!?!?! The guy is a surgeon. I hit the Colts on the 2nd half line as well. Thank goodness for the Dallas Clark TD. Good night for me.

  9. Not counting the Colts action I had last night, Flash and I went 2-2 during week 7, brining our season record to 15-11-2. We already spotted some great games for Week 8. Great college picks, too (there are some great NCAA games this week). Come back and see us on Thursday. We will post our NCAA picks then.

  10. You guys are batting over .500 so you should be showing up in the black not the red – that’s where we all want to be.

I’m going to the Dolphins-Giants game on Sunday in London (it’s only a train ride for me) and was wondering what sort of line you could get on this! The handicappers may have to borrow some extra numbers for the boards in Vegas for this one.

  11. One service has Giants at minus 9.5 with an O/U of 48
    Moneyline = Giants -490, Dolphins +390

Another service has Giants -10 with an O/U of 48
    No moneyline yet.

Hope this helps. How do you think the crowd will be?

  12. Where are you from, Fair? That is pretty cool you’ll be at the game. I think the Gints roll. Although, maybe the Fins can only win outside the US!!!

Is American football a big deal in London? Channing Crowder is no Beckham, but he is much more quotable.
